Pain Wall

Pain Wall (Title)

She’s a fighter
You can see it in
her eyes.
Those that once sparkled

like diamonds.
Now, bloodshot and
wet from tears.

Gathering her precious
possessions like children
around her.
Boxes build into walls.
These her memories
of happy days.
Waiting just waiting.

Today they’re coming.
She waiting behind her barricade.
But they’ll fiercely

be beating down
at her wall.
Uncaring, not loving.

Money, their only joy.
Not interested in dreams or memories.

And screaming, she
holds on to her
possessions.
Each strand of energy

trying to hold back
the tide.
While each angry

pummel, wading in
against her skin.

It’s all over now.
Not long their in
like vultures, ripping
in towards the bone.

She now stands, alone.
Left lost and without
a home.
Emotions etched into her being.

Pain, the wall she
hides within.
